Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What ages is this for? Children of all ages can benefit from the Muslim Audio Library, especially the sections focused on learning surahs and daily duas. However, the library is designed primarily for children 10 years old and under. Many families also enjoy listening together as a household. Can we listen within an app?  Yes, you can download the Thinkific app, type in "Muslim Audio Library," and enjoy the entire library in-app for a better listening experience.  How should my child listen to this? The most effective way to use the Muslim Audio Library is through daily passive listening. We strongly recommend playing the audio during car rides, walks, playtime, or bedtime. We do not recommend asking young children to sit at a table and listen without anything else to do. Developmentally, young children learn best when audio is playing in the background while they are moving or engaged in play. Is this meant to replace Islamic school? No. The Muslim Audio Library is meant to supplement Islamic education, not replace formal Islamic schooling or structured religious instruction. That said, many parents have shared that their children are absorbing and retaining a great deal of knowledge through consistent listening at home, especially when paired with daily routines like car rides. Can we use this during car rides? Yes — the library is designed to work especially well during car rides. For safety, we recommend starting the audio before driving begins or only when the vehicle is fully stopped. Always prioritize safe driving and use the app hands-free. What if my child isn’t paying attention? That’s completely normal. Children do not need to appear focused in order to learn. Try allowing your child to play with toys, color, or engage in another activity while the audio plays in the background. This low-pressure approach often leads to better absorption over time. As a parent of a child with ADHD, I personally found car rides to be the most effective listening time, as it naturally reduced distractions and helped with focus. How often should we listen? Daily listening works best. We recommend making the Muslim Audio Library part of your regular routine — for example, every car ride, every evening wind-down, or both. Consistency and repetition are key. Who creates and reviews the content? The content in the Muslim Audio Library is created by Sania Jamil and Ahmed Kouta and is reviewed by a qualified alimah to help ensure accuracy and appropriateness. What if I notice an Islamic mistake? While we strive for accuracy, mistakes can happen. If you notice a potential Islamic inaccuracy or have concerns about any content, please email us at [email protected] . We take this seriously and will have the material reviewed by a qualified alim or alimah as soon as possible. Do I need to supervise my child? Yes. The Muslim Audio Library is not designed for children to scroll or navigate independently. We recommend that parents maintain control of the play button and guide how and when the content is used. How do I get support? For any questions, comments, or concerns, please email us at [email protected] We aim to respond within 24 hours.
